Stage mechanical system for the cultural and tourism project in Situ Town, Jincheng, Shanxi

Introduction

Situ Town, located in the southeast of Shanxi Province, northeast of the downtown area of Jincheng City, and 5 kilometers west of the north highway intersection of Jincheng City, covers an area of over a thousand acres. It is a "traditional Shanxi folk culture impression base and a new Jincheng food tourism landmark" integrating specialty dining, leisure entertainment, farming experience, tourism shopping, and cultural performances.

During the Spring Festival every year, the number of tourists received exceeds one million, repeatedly setting new records for Jincheng's tourism industry. Most of the tourists come from Shanxi, Henan, Hebei, Shaanxi, and the Yangtze River Delta region, drawn by the 800 kinds of delicacies from various parts of Shanxi and the 300 kinds of folk customs, especially the unique "Zezhou Tiehua" (a traditional art form of making iron flowers) of Jincheng.

Jincheng, with a long history, was historically known as Zezhou and Zezhou Prefecture. It serves as the gateway from Shanxi to the Central Plains. Since ancient times, it has been a must-conquer territory for military strategists, and has been renowned as the "shield of Hedong, the gateway to the Central Plains, and the strategic choke point of the Three Jin Dynasties".

"Iron-beating fireworks" is a traditional folk art of Jincheng and a national-level intangible cultural heritage. Performers vigorously strike high-temperature molten iron, creating beautiful "fireworks" in the air. In 2015, Situ Village invited the older generation of craftsmen to arrange and create the "Iron-beating fireworks" performance. With the theme of "Spring Arrives in Situ", the village held the first Spring Festival Folk Culture Festival in Jincheng, attracting 500,000 visitors in just 7 days. In the Spring Festival of 2016, the village upgraded and revised the "Iron-beating fireworks" performance, expanding from the original 8 groups of craftsmen to 200 groups. At the same time, cultural performances were added. With the backdrop of lights and music, the performance became more enjoyable. During the Spring Festival alone, the number of visitors reached 1.2 million.

To this day, Situa Town has been hosting the "Spring Festival Folk Culture Festival" for five consecutive years. After several upgrades and revisions, the "Iron Flower" performance has evolved into a large-scale live show featuring coal and iron culture, titled "Millennium Iron Soul," which has welcomed tens of millions of visitors. Some media outlets have commented that this stunning performance transports the audience to ancient Shanxi in an instant. The iron flower artists, with their sparks of creativity, are carrying forward Shanxi culture and embodying the romance that belongs to Shanxi.
